Billing questions
What is a participant-minute?
One person connected to a call for one minute. A 30-minute call between 2 people uses 60 participant-minutes.
Do the free minutes apply on paid plans?
Yes. Every account gets 10,000 free participant-minutes each calendar month, applied before any charges.
How is recording billed?
Per minute of recorded call, whatever the number of participants. A 30-minute recorded call costs 30 × $0.015.
What happens when a free account runs out of minutes?
New calls are blocked until the next month starts. Calls in progress are not cut off. Upgrade to Pay as you go to keep calling.
How do I upgrade?
Use the upgrade form or email sales@videocallapi.com from the address on your account. Upgrades take effect the same business day and keep your API keys and call history.
